Images of Sarawak's Development

In conjunction with the 45th Anniversary of Sarawak’s Independence this year, we are inviting all Malaysians to play a role in capturing images of Sarawak’s development, as seen through your eyes.

What does development mean to you, your community and your society? We hope you can explain it best through your digital photographs, so that we could all learn to appreciate what development in Sarawak means to each one of us.

We want you to catch a glimpse of life in Sarawak, and explain in a few words how Sarawak’s development helped to achieve the moment you captured.

The exact moment you capture could be at a school where children continue to benefit from development in education, or it could be an old lady talking on the phone in the interiors of Sarawak, which was made possible through developments in telecommunication.

Basically, we want to catch the human side of development in Sarawak and we want you to share such images with your fellow Malaysians.

The best photographs will take the top prizes and other selected entries will be shown at the ‘45th Anniversary of Sarawak’s Independence’ exhibition.
