{"id":1358,"date":"2009-07-20T11:36:16","date_gmt":"2009-07-20T11:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rakansarawak.com\/webv\/?p=1358"},"modified":"2009-07-20T11:36:16","modified_gmt":"2009-07-20T11:36:16","slug":"workshop-on-the-management-of-community-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rakansarawak.com\/v3\/2009\/07\/20\/workshop-on-the-management-of-community-leaders\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on the Management of Community Leaders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fast changing times require today&#8217;s leader including community leaders to frequently re-examine their roles and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>One of the phenomena of today&#8217;s changing times is rapid urban development which leads to rapid urbanization and changing structures and dynamics in urban and rural communities.<\/p>\n<p>The role of community leaders today is being redefined by this evolution in society.This situation does not only call for the community leaders to adapt accordingly, but also requires the relevant government offices to re-look and update their management practices and processes to accommodate new demands.<\/p>\n<p>In line with above scenario, the <strong>Sarawak Chief Minister&#8217;s Department (Human Resource Management Unit) <\/strong>in collaboration with <strong>Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM) <\/strong>is organizing a workshop on the Management of Community Leaders from 22nd to 23rd July in Kuching.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 115 participants including Deputy Residents (Social), District Officers, others relevant officer from all Resident and District Offices, the State Attorney General Chamber and community leaders are expected to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, the two-day workshop with the theme &#8220;Effective Grassroots Leadership in Sarawak in the 21st Century&#8221;
