One is the idea of \u201cfreedom from\u201d, and the other is the concept of \u201cfreedom to\u201d. The first idea refers to being free from anything that shackles or binds us, such as political oppression or domination. The second idea refers to being free to develop our potential, which is in effect, the fruits of having the first type of freedom, i.e. freedom from oppression.
