{"id":9560,"date":"2020-04-29T14:20:26","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T06:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faradalemedia.com\/?p=1534"},"modified":"2020-04-29T14:20:26","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T06:20:26","slug":"understanding-waste-segregation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rakansarawak.com\/v4\/2020\/04\/29\/understanding-waste-segregation\/","title":{"rendered":"Understanding Waste Segregation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/faradalemedia.com\/v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/art-114-01-2020.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1535\" src=\"http:\/\/faradalemedia.com\/v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/art-114-01-2020-640x480.jpeg\" alt=\"art-114-01-2020\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Waste segregation is necessary in increasing recycling rates, decreasing the burden faced by a country\u2019s landfill system and improving public health<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With most Malaysians staying at home in compliance with the Movement Control Order, more household wastes are being generated, either due to packaging from food delivery and online orders or leftover from cooking at home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While waste segregation programmes are being enforced in some states and federal territories in West Malaysia, Sarawakians should take the opportunity to learn and understand the need to separate their household wastes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Basically, waste segregation is the process of sorting wastes into different categories.
