According to the Malaysian Department of Insolvency (MDI), approximately 5,272 bankruptcy cases among Malaysians under 34 from 2020 to 2025, including roughly 877 in 2024 alone.

Established in September 1987, AIM strives to reduce poverty among the poor and low-income groups in Malaysia by providing micro-credit financing to fund activities that can improve their income. It also aims to produce entrepreneurs from these groups and offer them continuous financial, guidance and training services.
