Sarawak Aquaculture Expands Rural Development
Sarawak turns freshwater reservoirs into aquaculture hubs. Batang Ai supplies 60 per cent of state tilapia through 146 smallholders and 14,000 cages. Under PCDS 2030, production may reach 300,000 tonnes yearly, targeting RM1 billion exports and 7,000 new hectares farmed.
