The Flag Raising Ceremony which was held at the Miri City Hall, Marina Bay was to commemorate the 17 Anniversary of Miri acquiring the city status on 20 May 2005

Miri City Council role is now broadened to complement the Government efforts to further improve the livelihood, local economic and better living environment.

In his speech, the Miri Mayor, YB Adam Yii Siew Sang (front row, middle) said that the Council’s role is now broadened to complement the Government efforts to further improve the livelihood, local economic and better living environment
