The contract-signing ceremony for Phase 1 of Mukah’s new airport between the Public Works Department (JKR) Director, Zuraimi bin Haji Sabki (left) and Hock Peng Furniture & General Contractor Sdn Bhd Managing Director and Chairman, YBhg Datuk Toh Chiew Hock convened at a local hotel in Kuching, earlier this morning.
The signing was witnessed by Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister YB Dato’ Sri Michael Manyin anak Jawong (centre), Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) Chief Executive Officer YBhg Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot (second left) and JKR Deputy Director, Philip Ng.
The event marked a significant milestone for the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) as the start of construction activities for Mukah’s new airport. The project is set to commence on April 17, 2014 and is scheduled to be completed within 20 months.
