Socio-Economic Transformation (SET) is one of three main areas included in the Government’s mission to transform Sarawak into a high-income state by 2030, which focuses on six key areas: manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, entrepreneur development, housing, and environmental development.

The SET Committee under its chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah hoped to develop a comprehensive, integrated and balance plan that is able to raise the income level, intensify the pace of economic growth, and reduce the income disparity before presenting it to a steering committee that is headed by the Chief Minister.
