The Premier of Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg on 13 January 2026, in conjunction with the YAB Premier's 2026 Mandate Ceremony, took the time to deliver a mandate to the entire Sarawak administration machinery. YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari, in his speech, outlines Sarawak’s journey through foundational reforms, digital innovation, fiscal stewardship, environmental sustainability, and the new phase of accelerated delivery under the Sarawak 13th Malaysia Plan (2026-2030).

Sarawak's unprecedented expansionary budget for 2025, designed to stimulate economic growth within the region. The budget, totalling RM15.8 billion, prioritizes development expenditure, particularly in infrastructure projects, to enhance connectivity and improve public services.

Projek Padi Stumbin-Bijat mengukuhkan aspirasi Sarawak menjadi pengeksport beras melalui perancangan moden, teknologi pertanian dan sokongan kerajaan, sekali gus meningkatkan produktiviti, keselamatan makanan serta pembangunan sosioekonomi komuniti luar bandar.

Projek Jalan Banang Kedua menghubungkan pesisir, pedalaman dan bandar utama Sarawak, memendekkan perjalanan, meningkatkan akses ekonomi dan sosial menyokong PKS, peluang pekerjaan, kesejahteraan rakyat, serta memacu pembangunan wilayah menjelang 2030.

The launch of Sarawak’s first homegrown GaN semiconductor chip via keteq.GaN and keteq.ai mark a technological and economic milestone, positioning the state as a regional leader in advanced, energy-efficient power electronics.

The 2025 Sustainable Resources and Wastes Management Bill positions Srawak to transform waste into value, creating green jobs, improving recycling, reducing emissions, and advancing a circular economy through the Sustainable Resources and Wastes Management (SRWMA).
